Through this programme, you will strengthen your knowledge and skills in supporting literacy and numeracy development in neurodiverse learners within bilingual and multilingual contexts. You will refine your assessment and intervention practices and build confidence working collaboratively across educational and clinical settings.

  1. a Bachelor's degree obtained with at least Second Class Honours in an area of study deemed suitable by the Board or
  2. a degree from this or another university which the Board considers as comparable to the degree indicated in paragraph (a).

Applicants may be required to provide evidence of being in possession of the licence to practice in the register of the profession concerned, as kept by the relevant regulatory council.

The maximum number of students that can be admitted into the course is 12 students.

During the first year of the Course, accepted students may be required to undergo an occupational health assessment so as to ascertain that they are fit for the duties related to their proposed studies. Students who do not fulfil this requirement may be barred from progressing with their studies. Failure to disclose information about a physical or mental health problem that could affect patient safety is considered to be a serious breach of the University Suitability to Practise Regulations.

This programme of study is governed by the General Regulations for University Postgraduate Awards, 2021 and by the Bye-Laws for the award of Master of Science under the auspices of the Faculty of Health Sciences.

By the end of the course, you will be able to: 1. Apply advanced knowledge of literacy, numeracy, and neurodiversity. 2. Evaluate multilingual and multicultural factors influencing learning. 3. Administer, interpret, and select appropriate assessment tools. 4. Develop evidence-based, multisensory intervention plans. 5. Work effectively within transdisciplinary teams. 6. Critically appraise research to inform your practice.
